Dr. Mosley often shares his top weight loss tips with dieters who want to lose weight as quickly as possible.
One of his tips is to eat dinner earlier and stop eating at a specific time.
He said: “Overall I would encourage people to try and have their evening meal earlier, say 7-7.30pm.
“Try to stop eating at 8 p.m. and then not eat anything with calories after that.”

The nutrition expert went on to explain, “The temptation is to eat cheese and cookies late into the night. While the idea that cheese gives you nightmares is a complete and utter myth, it’s obviously going to be kind of a calorie-loaded lot late at night.
“And we know that the fat and sugar that you eat later at night, it hangs around in your system for much, much longer because your body is just shut down for the night.
“Your digestive process is going to shut down, and it really won’t appreciate that late-night snack.”
However, Dr Mosley stressed that “the key is to try and limit alcohol and caffeine late at night, as both are likely to keep you awake”.
DO NOT MISS :
“People use alcohol to fall asleep, but the reality is that it will lead to fragmented sleep and you will wake up a lot more during the night, which is very clear.
“A nice cup of chamomile tea or possibly a cup of ginger tea is probably your best bet at night.”
In addition to reducing fats and sugars, Dr. Mosley recommended that thin people increase their protein intake to lose weight.
He said: “It’s really important to have a decent amount of protein, which is 50-70 grams a day.
“You can mainly get protein from meat or fish, and you can also get protein from legumes, but you have to eat a bit more, so following The Fast 800 on a vegetarian diet is more difficult.
“We have meal replacement shakes which are very high in protein, and we are also aiming to produce protein boosters, to help people who might otherwise struggle with this.
“The reason for protein is that you need it for your muscles. You need it for all kinds of essential metabolic processes.
“And also because when you consume it, it’s digested more slowly by your body, so you don’t get the same kind of peaks.”
The Mediterranean diet is a big part of The Fast 800 and includes high-protein ingredients.
That’s lots of vegetables, fruits, legumes, lentils, nuts, fatty fish, chicken, and dairy ingredients like full-fat yogurt.
Dr. Mosley also advised replacing white carbs with whole grains.
It can be as simple as eating brown rice, brown pasta, and wholemeal bread.
The body digests whole grain carbs more slowly than white carbs, so they leave thinner people feeling full longer.
