The Department of Health and Human Services’ Addiction and Mental Health Services Administration administers the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, which operates the Veterans Crisis Line fighters.
Verizon is proud to support this initiative: our landline customers can now call 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline using the new short code 988. Wireless customers can also send text messages to the short code 988.
