Creators on Facebook, Instagram can now earn extra earnings

San Francisco: Facebook and its Instagram photo-sharing platform are working on new tools to help its creators make more money from the platform.

The company announced new features that will help influencers earn extra payout for specific goals.

Starting this week, creators on Instagram are eligible to earn an additional payment when they reach certain milestones while using live badges, such as going live with another account, the company said in a statement.

According to the company, badges on Instagram Live and stars on Facebook give creators ways to make money from their supporters.

“As we see more and more creators using these tools to interact directly with their fans, we want to reward them for the impact they make on our communities,” the company said.

“That’s why we are launching ways for creators to earn extra money to reach certain milestones with badges and stars,” he added.

Facebook is also launching Stars Challenges, where creators can earn payments from the social media giant in the form of free stars if they reach certain milestones, such as streaming a certain number of hours or earning ‘a defined number of stars during a given period.

For designers who want to sell their merchandise, the company makes it easy to add an existing store or open a new store on their Instagram profile.

They can now link their store to their profile in addition to their company profile. This allows them to display and sell their products directly to fans.

The ability to link a store to a personal profile is available worldwide.
